I took the opportunity to pay a visit to my models which have on display there. I haven’t had the chance before to see them on show.
Here are some pictures I shot of the showcases with my models (amongst others).
So there are models I didn't make in this picture but mine definitely are the best ones. (-; |
So, in the first showcase, on the bottom shelf, we find my Titan IIIe with Voyager, the Proton-M and the Delta 2 with IRAS as a payload. That incredibly schematic rendition of the N1 next to it needs to be replaced as soon as possible. So I will try and finish the 1/96th N1 soon. This... thing is an abomination and doesn't even look closely similar to the real thing.
I was kind of amazed seeing the Soyuz FG back. Did I really make that one? Wow. It looks awesome. Better than I imagined. Very nice to see that one back again. I almost envy myself.
And there we have the Ariane 5 with Herschel and Planck underneath the fairing and the first incarnation of the Falcon 9 with a Dragon capsule on top. Especially the Ariane looks great. Still really pleased with that.
Further over at the exhibition, you can find my diorama of the Mars rover Curiosity being placed on the surface by the Sky Crane. The card below the box even has my name on it!
Well, that was the visit, it was short. We had a good talk about the cooperation with the museum and the film and later on this week we'll have a talk with the funding foundation. Let's hope the best of it.
